Happy Chinese New Year everyone, it's officially the Year of Goat! Baaah... If you ever resided in parts of China, you won't be unfamiliar with the RED that's going on everywhere during Chinese New Year. 'Red' represents luck in Chinese culture, the colour is often applied to celebrations, such as Weddings, New Year's Greetings, and Birthdays etc. Having said that, I had to cloth myself in red for my New Year's family visit :) All my cousins were dressed in RED indeed!
My outfit for the day was an ensemble of a patterned blazer by Kenzo, my olive green faux leather pants matching with the pattern on the blazer and a simple white v-neck top from Forever 21. During my pre-New Year's house cleanup, I flipped out some high heels from the cabinet that I hardly ever worn, and I realise this pair of heeled sandals from Le Saunda which I have left behind were extremely comfortable, padded with thick leather soles. For that reason, I teamed it up for the look as I can foresee a lot of standing during the train journey today, all the way up to New Territories. It was a decision well made, I'm pleased that the shoes matched with the olive green faux leather pants. As for the bag, I planned to carry a small cross-shoulder bag to look effortless, yet when I came to think about the lucky packet money that I'll be receiving...and of course my Canon Power Shot GX1 camera, I opted for the grey tote from Prada instead.
